Get the Contemporary look
The word ‘Contemporary’ has many interpretations, not all necessarily 21st Century. My take on this look is often set within period environments, but It’s the way vibrant colour is used in blocks that gives this aesthetic more of a modern twist. Or, by doing the very opposite of this, keeping colours to a minimum and set against a very sparse or simple backdrop that allows this look to have an atmosphere of calm and tranquillity.
I very much like the mix of various elements within this mode of design, how raw materials such as chrome, plastic and steel can sit happily against the organic feel and texture of Linen without looking in any way out of place is testament to the fact that the ‘Contemporary’ look works alongside ‘old style’.
